Ayame Sohma

Another Fruits Basket picture I drew for Lauren. This time, it was of Ayame Sohma, who was my favorite character up until Haru started to show up on a daily basis in the series.

Basically, my favorite scenes with Ayame were whenever he would just, out of nowhere, call Hatori about something Yuki had done. And then he would blow it completely out of proportion. And more often than not, Yuki would be standing less than five feet away at the time. The other thing that made me like Aya a lot was how, even though he seemed like a straight guy, you just never could tell, what with his flamboyant personality and all the flirting with Shigure that he did. Good times.

And yes, I DID draw Aya wearing gloves. Don't like it? Then STFU.

I really like this drawing a lot, mostly because it was a first for me in 2 ways: It was the first time I'd tried drawing a character in a non-usual pose, and it was also the first time I'd tried drawing a character showing emotions. I think I did okay on both counts, but If I didn't, oh well.
