Ka'hael Insurgent

I mentioned in my journal a little bit ago that I would be bringing back my reptilian race, the Ka'hael. Well, I decided to make them part of my "Galtesian Wars" storyline! This particular Ka'hael is a female resistance member from around 1987. She's equipped with a silenced Galtesian MP-86, one of the most advanced submachine guns in the world at that time.

In the world that GW takes place in, the Ka'hael are the oldest race of therans on the planet. When humans and other theran races were still living as hunter/gatherers, the Ka'hael had already invented the first written language and were living in democratic city-states. However, they were eventually overcome by the Old Delmarian Empire around 900 AD. After the Delmarian Empire fell in 1756, various nations have tried to conquer the Ka'hael's ancestral lands for the wealth of natural resources that it has. Finally, in 1872, the Kingdom of Samnos managed to take control of the land, and set up a brutal regime to stamp out any resistance from the Ka'hael. Predictably, it backfired. For almost a century, the Ka'hael fought to throw out their oppressors. The turning point came in 1987, when Galtesian Fuhrer Mattias Elkhardt began to discreetly arm and equip the resistance, as well as sending military advisers to help them. With their new weaponry and training, the Ka'hael began to force the Samnosian forces out of their homelands, and in 1993, Samnos completely withdrew. Two years later, the Kingdom of Samnos crumbled from within.

Although the Ka'hael look like reptiles, they're actually closer to mammals. They're warm blooded, give birth to live offspring, and breast-feed their young. Ka'hael males are big and muscular, while females are usually at least two feet shorter and more lithely built. Although the two genders are very different, they've always held nearly equal roles in society and religion.
